“I was born in Argentina and have seen first hand the difference access to knowledge and education can make in a child’s life. As a society, we uphold the notion that education is a good thing – the very basis of hope and the key to the promise of upward mobility. But unfortunately I’ve witnessed many Latin and Central American countries where it simply isn’t. I believe the work the Riecken Community Libraries do is paramount to lifting these communities out of poverty. As a board member, I am passionate about adding technology in a way that can further the impact each library has in their community. I only hope I can contribute enough to this remarkable cause to help many children achieve their dreams, the same way access to knowledge and technology help me fulfill mine.”
